- Cornices are recommended for outside mounts only. We recommend ordering cornices at least 2" wider than your window.

Cornice Profile |
- The cornice must be deep enough to fit over any window treatment. The standard depth of the cornice is 4-1/2". Custom depths of up to 7" can be ordered at an additional cost.

- The ordered width is the inside measurement between the returns. The outside measurement of the cornice will be wider on the top of the cornice than at the bottom of the cornice depending on the height or profile of the cornice ordered. This measurement is very important if your window is close to another object, wall or window (see illustration).

- To calculate the finished width, please add the width ordered (inside measure) plus outside width (see chart below for specific style). This gives you the total finished width of your new cornice.
